And the Bowdens are going for the record in ER visits

Sorry for the delay in posting it has been a crazy week in the Bowden Household.

Tuesday I was involved in an accident rear ended by 2 cars thankfully not much damage and no injuries, so I thought. Wednesday morning I woke up to such pain in my neck I have never experienced. Off to the Drs. I went, x-rays after x-rays and medicine and a shot and I was all fixed up, somewhat, no breaks just severe whiplash........

On to Sunday and while Bambeano was playing soccer (the kids had a scrimmage before the adult game) BooBoo walked over to play on the park. Some 15 minutes later she appeared in front of me with her hands around her nose and blood oozing through her fingers, WHAT!!!!!!!

She had spun around a bar 6ft off the ground and instead of landing on her feet she landed firmly on her face. I am happy to report after ANOTHER trip to the ER she is OK with just a swollen nose and busted lip, geez louise this family cannot catch a break in injuries and trips to the ER this year....

The list so far.......

Nov 09 - Mama Bowden broken nose from playing with the dog
Mar 10 - Mama Bowden concussion from playing soccer
April 10 - Bambeano spider bite that turned into a Staph infection
April 10 - Papa put his back out playing soccer
April 10 - Mama Bowden suspected broken shin from soccer
June 10 - BooBoo suspected broken arm
July 10 - Mama Bowden whip lash from an car accident
July 10 - BooBoo swollen nose and busted lip from the play ground

Thank goodness vacation is just around the corner

Is it really happening.........

Ever since I moved here having fireworks in the heat of summer has always been strange to me. I mean I grew up with hats, scarves and coats standing around the bonfire with Guy Fawkes watching the fireworks on Guy Fawkes night, November 5th.

With 2 US children I am slowly but surely getting used the the July 4th celebrations. We begun the annual tradition of attending the parade in our home town. Bambeano loves the fire trucks and Booboo loves the candy throwing and all the other goodies that come our way.

Thankfully this year it was a little cooler. We had our friends join us in our usual spot and watched the floats go by.

After all the fun of the parade we decided to take a trip the neighborhood pool, unfortunately Bambeano and his snorkel did not mix well and after swallowing gallons of pool water he proceeded to throw up, of course he had to do it in the pool. Caddyshack moment!!!!! The pool was evacuated and closed for an hour. Fastest pool time recorded all of 10 minutes and Papa didn't even make it time.

Happy July 4th!!!!!
