End of an era........

So a chapter in my life comes to a close tomorrow..... Bambeano starts school. My baby is leaving his daycare days behind. This event is filled with mixed emotions that I felt I had under control until today when I dropped him off for his last day at daycare.

He has had some great teachers this year, Ms Debbie and Ms Myra who have taught him so much and given him so much love. Today was especially sad as Ms Myra was emotional at the realization one of her babies "was flying the nest" as she put it, of course this was not the sort of thing I wanted to hear and that is when it hit me like a ton of bricks :(

I am every grateful to Ms Debbie and Ms Myra enriching Bambeano and helping provide him the tools and knowledge to tackle school they have made a huge impact on our family's life and for that I am THANKFUL.

Onto tomorrow and I will be sure to post pictures of my baby in his school uniform :(

My baby is growing up.....

So last week I told Bambeano and BooBoo they were set to get their hair cut. BooBoo in typical fashion had the stomping arm folding declaring "NO HAIRCUT".

Now I can understand a girl wanting to grow her hair but it was in dire need of a trim.

So today was D-Day and what happens was just about astounding!!!!! it floored me!!!!! she declared she wanted it short.

Now it was my turn to talk her out of it, we compromised and 5 inches came off..........

Can it really be happening.......

Oh my vacation was over in a poof of smoke and now onto the real stuff....... this week end is gonna be a busy one for the Bowdens. Soccer is starting up again, yes that's right you heard right, The Bowdens are in full swing for a busy soccer season again.

BooBoo is back in 7/8 age for probably her last season as she turns 9 in January, 9 OMG where has the time gone. Bambeano is back into the 5/6 season for his 2nd season with Papa the assistant coach again and mummy on the sidelines cheering.

The real big news this week end is we will be shopping for school supplies and uniforms, yep Bambeano is off to school this year to a private school that requires uniform, I cannot believe it is happening. My baby is off to school. This will be a trying time to try and get 2 kids picked up from 2 different schools and work full time, but as a family we have had life challenges thrown at us before and come out the other side so I am sure we will manage this one.

Now off to the busy week end :)

BooBoo's delight at her surprise........

Wow it has been a while. The Bowden's have just returned from a relaxing vacation in Florida. BooBoo did so well in her school reports she changed her mind about a her solo trip to England but instead picked her favorite vacation spot in Florida.

Papa and I decided we still needed to recognize all her hard work for the year and rewarded with her dream to interact with a dolphin. Of course this was a big surprise to her and she had no clue we planned this.

Here are a few pictures from the event. The dolphin is called Winter and her story is a remarkable one such that she is being filmed to star in a Hollywood movie to be shown in 2011.
